RW Shooting offers the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) Academy certificated 'Shotgun Skills Program' This provides a structured shotgun competency course or lesson that is recognised by the sport's governing body, Firearms Licensing Authorities, affiliated and registered clay shooting grounds.
The knowledge based Basic 'Shotgun Skills' presentation can now be attended online, followed up with on Range Lessons at a local shooting ground. Recommendations can be given.
Basic 'Shotgun Skills'
This Basic Shotgun Skills course allows you the opportunity to discover the basics about shotgun handling, safety, etiquette, shooting technique and start a sound base of essential technoical knowledge.
The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association 'Shotgun Skills Program' including detailed essential Safety advice for both Clay and Game, personal protection equipment (PPE), basic gun handling skills, stance, mounting, eye dominance, gun fit and the CPSA Method of how to hit a moving target.
Learn about types of Shotguns, Cartridges, Chokes, Proof and technical information, Shotguns the Law and how it applies to you, Personal civil liability Insurance and gun cleaning.
Followed by an on the range fully supervised session where you can put the theory in to practice.
On completion of this course, modules you will receive a CPSA Academy Shotgun Skills certificate.
This course is recognised by CPSA affiliated and registered shooting grounds.
This is Certificated evidence for Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, where Shooting can be undertaken as a skill.
The modules last up to 4 hours classroom and 1 - 2 hours shooting
At selected Shooting Gounds
Includes Qualified Instruction, all PPE, gun hire and 25 targets and cartridges per person.
Additional shooting can be added time permitting.
Both Modules 1 and 2 are booked as a full day (about 6 hours) course - fee £ POA.
Online 'Shotgun Skills' Presentation
The knowledge based Basic 'Shotgun Skills' presentation can now be attended online.
In the comfort of your own home, with certificate of attendance.
This can then be followed up with On Range Lessons at a local shooting ground. Recommendations for On Range Lessons can be given to suit your circumstances.
This presentation is very informative for new and novice shooters.
One to One online presentation (3 to 4 hours) - fee £99
Learn to shoot "Gun Down" use a variety of methods "Swing Through" "Maintained Lead" "Cut Off" and "Spot" to evaluate and understand appropriate use and execution of these various methods of shooting targets.
Discipline Proficiency - Module 4
A progressive and flexible programme to introduce students to all aspects of the chosen discipline from rules to developing skills and techniques to improve scores.
